I ran across an article a few days ago that talked about virtual stores and how they can make shopping more sustainable. Check out the article here
Imagine standing on the platform waiting for your bus to come and you see a virtual store display where you can order things you need and then have it waiting for you when you get home while literally never going to the store. This may be the new reality of our future here in America. This is already happening in other countries in the world and of course we in the US will catch on sooner or later. As a mother I would love for their to be a grocery store where I can buy things online then go to the store and just pick it up. What a convenience it would be for mothers or busy women like me. Harris Teeter one of my favorite grocery chains has started doing it with their Express Lane where you can order online and pay a flat rate to have your groceries ready when you get to the store. For me I would prefer to buy my meat on my own but for dry goods this would be awesome.
Is online virtual shopping going to take over? Is this something you would like or would you rather things remain the same?
I like shopping online it saves me time the only thing I hate is the shipping costs. I am cheap and the shipping at some places is enough for me to go to the actual store and just buy what I need. Shopping online has it’s good and bad and in today’s technology driven world the good is outweighing any argument we can come up with. Although a real store gives you the convenience of asking for advice from a salesperson whats to stop us from doing that online. Some stores may come up with a virtual dressing room and all you need are your measurements. Which do you prefer and why?
